Okay, today I'm frustrated.
It's weigh day, and I'm only down 1 POUND!!! You would think that with all of the working out I'm doing PLUS eating very well it'd be more than that.
I haven't measured yet though, I guess we'll see if there's more progress there.

Oh my, been so busy gettin into shape! hehe
I worked out 4 of the 7 days last week - not bad for getting back on the horse, if you will.
This week I've worked out on the treadmill for 1 hour everyday, plus did some workout dance and t-tapp in addition!
Tomorrow is weigh-in day, can't wait to see what the change is :)

Day 6 of ParaCleanse/Day 6 of DASH too
Still trucking along doing well. I can tell that my metabolism is picking up by my hunger level. When I don't eat well (and my metabolism is slow) I could eat one decent sized meal mid morning and be good for the day pretty much. Now I am more than ready when the next meal comes due!
Tuesday I did dig out the Biggest Loser DVD and did the low intensity aerobic workout which was at the perfect level for me. Yesterday we walked the kids to Wednesday Night Live (which would be 10 blocks from here) then over to the soda shop to have a sugar-free mini cone (literally the whole thing is one or two bites worth) and then back home. Altogether that's just over 1.5 miles, and I just slightly broke a sweat, so I know I was keeping my heartrate good!
I've been doing very well at staying strong and not caving to temptations, even when I have to walk past them all at the store. Ugh. No wonder so many people are overweight - that's all that people put in their faces! Mike, however, is in the kitchen as I type, making a big ole breakfast. That's ok, he's just hurting himself!

Day 4 of ParaCleanse, Day 2 of dairy free!
Day 4 of ParCleanse means that I now move to full strength. Should be interesting. It's slightly challenging to choke down two of those honking pills (not that they taste horrible, they're just so big!). I have noticed increased flatulence with the cleanse - coincidence? Not sure........
I was so good yesterday! We had MOPS (which always has YUMMY treats) but I ate supper just before I went, so I wasn't hungry, and just drank a small bottle of water. Interestingly enough we also "exercised" by dancing! That's such a fun way to move. I must look into some dance exercise DVDs.
Anyway, I'm enjoying having the menu made up and just having to check what's to make. It definately makes it easier to resist going out to eat (which equals nothing but preservatives, fat, sodium, and refined sugar).
Still not had any sodas! YAY!!! I had purchased some pure cane soda to have if I was just dying to, but it's almost become somewhat of a game between Mike and I to see who will break down and open them first, lol.
I'm dying to weigh and see if I've lost anything. I'm determined, however, to hold out until Friday, which would make it nearly a week of the cleanse and such. We'll see. While I don't feel like I've lost much (if any) I don't feel bloated or like I've gained either. I will, however, be so disappointed if I have to put a big fat 0 to my pounds lost.
Maybe I'll go dig out that Biggest Loser DVD now.

It's Monday!
And pretty much more of the same.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I've been doing good at getting my water in too :)
Today is day 1 of dairy free, but all is good. I had a granola bar and banana for breakfast, snacked on some wheat nuts mid morning, had a sandwich and peach for lunch!

YAY!
Off to a good, but realistic, start!
Saturday I started my ParaCleanse, and have since had NO pop, NO refined sugar, and LOW sodium!!! YAY!!! I did finish off some leftovers today of mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey loaf - probably the worst I've done so far.
I was curious as to how the cleanse would work, mostly concerned with how long I'd have to be sitting in the bathroom, and I'm pleased to say no more than usual! lol
I can absolutely tell that my sugars are more balanced (no major rushes (which unfortunately means no major energy rushes) but no big falls either).
I continue to eat at least one salad a day, as the lettuce also aides in balancing out my sugars, which in turn controls my insulin production (insulin is the "fat hormone").
I'm trying to decide what day of the week to weigh......hmmmmmm.......maybe Friday since I'm sure I'll be good through the week, it's just the weekend that'll be challenging (oh, and that time of the month too). We'll see how much I can resist :)
I'm hoping to make use of the treadmill tomorrow!
